Death of Denial Speakers

Caprice C.

Caprice is the founder and Executive Director of Equity Alliance Health in 2022. She has received awards in 2019 twice from the City of Chicago for Community Advocacy for TWOC TRANS WOMEN OF COLOR and for TDOR trans day of remembrance for her work in public health. She has 26 years of recovery.

Conor M.

Conor is incredibly excited to share his story at this year’s Chicago RoundUp. In 2009, at 25 years old, Conor began his sober journey in NYC. Former actor turned health care worker, Conor has been given one those “never in our wildest dreams” lives. He has been honored to sponsor fellows from all across the country going on 15 years now and is grateful to spend his working days helping those with life changing illness. We do recover!

Wakefield

Wakefield is honored to return to Chicago and share with those who gave him the tools to make a “sincere attempt to become what he could be” and live in abundance today. Clean and sober since 1988 (left the hall of shame) he attributes every HIV and public health success, award, opportunity for community service to daily membership maintenance, sponsoring and being sponsored by those who give opportunity to practice 12 step principles in all my affairs.
