Every year, Chicago Roundup has raised the bar on the types of programming and fundraising events we bring to the community. This year we kicked off the 2012 Season with the Highrise Holiday Hoopla. We shared music, food and fellowship, and we had a great time. The view was not bad either.

In February, Barry B. hosted the Superbowl and Show Tunes Chili Cookoff. The competition was fierce, but Michael H. managed to win the blue ribbon by a single vote (thank goodness he was able to purchase additional ballots). You could have heard a pin drop during Madonna’s halftime show.

In March, Steve B. got his bling on to bring you Blingo, A Fabulous Night of Bingo. A fun time was had by all. At Blingo, we presented this year’s theme, Together We Grow, and we were proud to reveal our new website (you’re on it now).

Planning Committee Vice Chair Positions

We are still looking for Vice Chairs to fill several vacancies on the planning committee. Vice Chairs for each subcommittee are integral to the continuity of the Chicago Roundup since these subcommittee Vice Chairs will rotate into the Chair positions on the same subcommittee for the 2013 Chicago Roundup event. For example, the Vice Chair of the Hospitality subcommittee this year would rotate into the Chair of the Hospitality subcommittee for the 2013 Chicago Roundup.

Yes! The commitment is, well, a commitment and it can be a lot of work, but it is immensely gratifying to see our mission thrive in the lives of all of our participants…you included.
